What to do in your first half hour on HeusMt2: a step-by-step start and the client's own key table for inventory, quests, map, mount and pet.
Your character has appeared in the world. This page explains what to do in your first hour and which key opens what. All the keys were taken from this server's own client, not copied from general Metin2 guides, so every key listed here really works.
The first half hour

Get to know your surroundings
Use W A S D or the arrow keys to move; to turn the camera, hold down the right mouse button and drag, and use the mouse wheel to zoom. Press Z to pick up an item near you.

Take your first quest
In the starting village, click the quest givers with a question mark above them. You can open the quest window at any time with N, and see on the map where you need to go right now with M.

Fight your first battle
Start with the weak monsters at the village exit. When you click an enemy, your character attacks; press Space to stop the attack. Every monster you kill gives experience, and as you level up you earn character points.

Spend your points, equip your gear
Open the character window with C and spend the points you have earned. Open the inventory with I; drag your weapon and armour and drop them into the equipment slots on the left. You can see your skills with V.

Choose your own path
The quest chain carries you for a while; after that it is up to you: at a medium-rate balance, the 1-99 journey is long but never stalls. When you get stuck, you can open the in-game guide with H.

Three common mistakes
- Forgetting to spend your points. Levelling up alone does not make your character stronger; you need to spend your points with C.
- Stubbornly staying on a crowded channel. If an area is full, switch channels: your character, your items and your guild are the same on all 4 channels.
- Making your deletion code the same as your password. That code is the second lock that protects your characters even if your password is stolen; it must be different.
